Erling M. Indahl ’30

Erling died Mar. 2, 1994. He prepared at Hun School and roomed with Charles Lane and Sterling Anders on the top floor of 11 Dickinson his freshman year. He later roomed with Carl Zellner '31.

Throughout his life, he maintained a deep interest in birds and classical music. He and his wife lived for many years in Plymouth Meeting, Pa. He worked as a buyer for a linotype company in Philadelphia, where his father had pioneered many important inventions.

He and his wife frequently cruised to Norway after their retirement. Even after a lengthy illness, he walked miles every day.

He is survived by a devoted nephew, William Detweiler, to whom the class extends its sympathy.
