BUD DIED of heart failure Mar. 28, 1993, in Dover, DeI., his home for most of his life. He had retired there in 1997 as v.p. and regional manager of the

Bank of Delaware, after 34 years. He was the first president of the Kent County Chapter of the American Inst. of Banking, and former president of the Delaware Bankers Assn.

During WWII, Bud enlisted in the army and served Africa and Italy; he was a major upon discharge.

Agenerous volunteer to civic and charitable causes, Bud served on the boards of the Kent County Heart Assn., the United Way, and the Cancer Society; an officer of the State Handicapped Foundation and as vicechairman of the Kent General Hospital Foundation board. Bud also served as a vestryman and warden of Christ Episcopal Church, and was a trustee of the Delaware diocese.

Bud's first wife, Ruth, died in 1960. He married Shirley Everett in 1962. To Shirley and their son, Richmond, we offer our sincere sympathy.
