Evan T. Fisher ’57

EVAN FISHER died Feb. 28, 1993, in a most sad fashion. His wife of many years, Barbara, left for the weekend to show her prize dogs at a competition. Upon returning, she found Evan had expired of a heart attack during the weekend. The family lives in Monroe, Conn.

Evan left Princeton after two years. He rarely returned, nor did he participate in Class affairs. Nevertheless, he maintained a warm feeling for Old Nassau as part of a large family of Princeton graduates, including his father, two brothers, and an uncle.

After leaving Princeton, Evan attended Iona College and the Columbia School of General Studies. He specialized in writing and in later years had several items published locally.

He founded the Fisher Brothers Yacht Repair Corp., which he directed for 20 years, until his death. His hobbies included woodworking, reading, writing, and dog shows with Barbara. In the summer, the family traveled to Nova Scotia.

The Class of'57 sends its condolences to Evan's widow, Barbara; his sons Timothy and Kenneth; his daughters Elizabeth and Peggy; his brothers Burnett '46 and Peter '61; and his uncle Burnett C. '25.
