Fletcher Gilpin ’31

FLETCH DIED Nov. 10, 1992, in Cranford, N.J., where he was born and lived all his life. He prepared at Pingry School. While at Princeton, he was a member of Court Club. Fletch received his M.D. degree from the Univ. of Pennsylvania in 1935, and returned to Cranford, where he practiced medicine until his retirement in 1974. During WWII, he served in the Army Medical Corps in England and France. He was discharged in 1946 with the rank of major. He was a member of the American Medical Assn., American Academy of Family Physicians, New Jersey and Union County medical societies, Cranford Rotary Club, and Cranford Historical Society. He is survived by his widow, Grace (Gay); his son Richard; and two grandchildren. The Class sends sincere condolences to his family.
