Frank Daniel Creamer ’38

Body

FRANK CREAMER died Apr. 9, 1993, after a sixmonth struggle with cancer. Born in Islip, N.Y., he graduated from Lawrenceville Sohool. At Princeton, he roomed with Armitage, Barzaghi, and Tol. He was a member of Cannon Club and earned Sigma Xi honors while majoring in psychology.

After graduation, he entered the Univ. of Texas Dental School and was granted his D.D.S. in 1943. Four years in the Army followed. After his discharge as a major, he taught prosthetic dentistry at the dental school, from 1946 to 1952, and then went into private practice in Houston. He married Harriet Barnett in 1943; they had three sons, one of whom, Kenneth, became a dentist and joined his father's practice. Harriet died in 1970, and in 1980, Frank married Susan Merrick.

He was one of the founders of his dental school's endowment fund, a highly successful venture of which he was proud.

His oldest son, Frank Jr., died suddenly in 1984. Besides Susan, he is survived by sons Kenneth and Kris and three grandchildren.
