"F. E.", AS HE WAS KNOWN to all of us, died Aug. 27, 1992 in Sharon Hospital, Salisbury, Conn., where he had lived since 1955. He was 83, and had had a distinguished career in medicine in New York and Salisbury.

F. E. carne to Princeton from Choate. At Princeton he was electrical manager of the Triangle Club and a member of Terrace Club. He obtained his medical

degree from the College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York, and practiced there until 1955. During WWII, he was an officer in the Navy medical Corps, serving in the U.S. and China and retiring with the rank of commander.

In 1955, FE became medical director of the Hotchkiss School and moved to Salisbury. There he also had a private practice and was on the staff of Sharon Hospital, until his retirement in 1980.

He was a fellow of the New York Academy of Medicine, was a diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine, and was active in other medical societies.

In 1934, F. E. married Mary Anna Hervey, who survives him, as do his daughters Nancy Bushnell and Sarah Dixon and five grandchildren, Robert, Edward,

and Heather Bushnell '92, and Peter and Andrew Dixon, to whom his classmates extend their deepest sympathy.
