FRANK LESLIE MARTINE DIED of lung cancer Nov. 29, 1994. He was 79. He prepared at Newark Academy. At Princeton, he majored in English and belonged to Dial Lodge. In 1952, he got an M.A. from N.Y.U.

After college, he spent three years in the textile industry. He served six years in the armed forces during WWII. His first two years, he served in the field artillery in the Army. Then he joined the Army Air Corps. During that time, he was assigned to the Ninth Tactical Air Command as a forward air controller in the European theater. He left the army as a lt. col., and had received an Air Medal, a Bronze Star, and a distinguished unit citation. He was a reservist until 1964. He then worked for Prudential Insurance Co. for 36 years, in Newark and Chicago. He retired in 1976 and consulted in the field of employee benefits.

Frank was an active sailor and golfer. He lived in Holland, Mich., on Lake Macatawa.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, M. Elaine; a son, Gregory F.; daughters Ellen M, Noelle M. Breuker, Diane M., and Jeannine M.; and one grandchild, Stacey. Frank will be remembered for his love of his family and for his many successful endeavors.
