Frank Montford Fucik ’39

Frank earned his degree in chemical engineering and then saw four years of active duty as a lieutenant in the Naval Reserve during World War II, when he was stationed on Attu and in the Aleutians. Later he founded and was president of Water Seals Inc. in Chicago, a manufacturer and distributor of construction materials. He was an avid sportsman and skilled golfer. He was a charter member of the U.S. Men’s Curling Association and was inducted into the Exmoor Curling Club Hall of Fame. He also served for many years as president of the Neebish Island Pioneers Association while vacationing in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Being a Republican committeeman meant the most to him over the years.  

Frank was preceded in death by Ruth, his beloved wife of 47 years. He is survived by his brother, Edward ’35; sister-in-law Margaret; and many family members in younger generations to whom he was a proud uncle. We extend to all our sincere sympathy.
