FRANK LATSON died Sept. 21, 1991, of an aortic embolism. Frank was born in N.Y.C. and came to us in Jan. 1944 from Phillips Exeter Academy. He served with the Navy as a radio technician in the Pacific theater during the war. Returning to Princeton in 1946, he received a B.S.E. in electrical engineering in June 1948. He graduated with honors and as the proud possessor of both a Phi Beta Kappa key and a Sayre Fellowship, which enabled him to pursue an M.S.E.E. degree at the graduate school, Following graduation in 1949, he took a job with the Vitro Corp. in Maryland and moved to the Washington, D.C., area the following year.

Over the next 36 years Frank worked on numerous defense projects with the company, including antisubmarine warfare systems, fire control systems, and the Tomahawk missile. He published more than 15 papers in professional journals, In 1986 he joined Vector Research, where he was a senior project engineer and technical editor at the nine of his death.

Frank married Isobel (Bella) McLellan in 1948. They were the parents of three children, in whom he took particular pride. In their Spare time he and Bella erijoyed collecting antiques, theater going and gardening.

In addition to Bella, he is survived by his sons, Jon '73 and Bradley; his daughter Lynn Enders; and four grandchildren. To each of them the Class extends its sincere sympathy.
