FRED LUNDY, who entered Princeton with our class but graduated from Georgetown, died of a heart attack Nov. 27, 1994. at Arlington (Va.) Hospital.

A resident of Falls Church, Fred served in 1he Army from 1932-34, but during WWII, he served in the Navy in both the Atlantic and the Pacific. After the war, he graduated from Georgetown's School of Foreign Service.

He joined the State Dept. in 1948, becoming a Foreign Service Officer who specialized in the economics of oil and the Arab world. His assignments abroad were in Libya, Egypt, and Algeria. He retired in 1970, but continued as a consultant to the State Dept. for several years.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Jane; five sons, Frederic K., Jeffrey W., Steven M., David G., and Philip A.; a sister, Catherine M. Lundy; and two grandsons. The class extends to all of them its deep sympathy in their bereavement.
