Frederick L. Davis Jr. ’58

OUR CLASSMATE FRED DAVIS passed away in Dec. 1990, after a sixmonth bout with cancer. He had been a lifelong resident of Parkersburg, W.Va. Fred came to Princeton from Parkersburg High School, and roomed in his sophomore year with Frank Decker. After sophomore year, Fred left Princeton and attended West Virginia Univ., where he received his B.A. in June 1958. He remained at West Virginia Univ. to attend law school.

Fred served as West Virginia State Worker's Compensation Commissioner from 1969 to 1971. in 1988 Fred received the Defense Research Institute's Exceptional Performance Citation from the Defense Trial Council of West Virginia.

He is survived by his widow, Sally Radford Davis; by two sons, John R., also a Parkersburg lawyer, and Frederick L. Jr., a college student at Marshall Univ.; and by a daughter, Deborah Wright. To them the Class of 1958 extends its deepest sympathy.
