ART SCHOLES died on June 30, 1989, at Point Pleasant (N.J.) Hospital. A funeral Mass was celebrated at the Church of the Epiphany, in Brick, N.J.

Art was born on Oct. 5, 1911, in Warehouse Point, Conn. He prepared at Kingswood. After college, Art be¬came a tax accountant, spending 30 years with Irving Trust in N.Y.C. He retired in 1970. Before he moved to Brick 15 years ago, he lived in Brooklyn.

Art married Mary McCabe on July 18, 1936. She died in 1967. On Apr. 18, 1971, he married Doris Mahon, who survives him. He also leaves a daughter, Susan Ann Wal¬lace, of Burlington, Vt.; a son, Gordon Arthur Jr., of Kansas City, Mo.; a daughter, Mary Loretta Valentine, of Croton-on-Hudson, N.Y.; a sister, Beatrice French, of Biddeford Pool, Me.; and nine grandchildren. The Class of '33 extends its deep sympathy to Doris, to Art's chil¬dren, and to the rest of the family.
