George J. Khouri ’64

George died April 4, 2026, in New York City after a brief illness. He was 83.
Raised in Brooklyn Heights in New York City, he attended Poly Prep, where he played football and baseball. He graduated from Princeton with an AB in classics and a minor in American history. He roomed with John Rush and the late Richard Rizutti, played freshman football and lacrosse, and ate at Cannon Club.
George received a master’s degree in classics from Columbia University and taught for three years at the Darrow School in New Lebanon, N.Y. After earning a law degree from Columbia, he became an associate at Davis, Polk in New York City and then went into private practice in real estate and business law. He retired in 2024.
George was deeply committed to Princeton and his class. He established and for years hosted frequent class lunches in New York. In 2015, he received the Jo Johnson Spirit of ’64 Award for his service to the class.
He will be remembered for his graciousness, humility, and commitment to the betterment of others. He was a quiet man, but when he spoke, his words resonated. He was a special person who will be missed by all who knew him.
The class offers condolences to his wife of 44 years, Margee, and their daughter, Hope, and her husband Miguel Negron.
