George X Brady ’33

Body

GEORGE BRADY, who had retired to Hilton Head some years ago, died there Dec. 28, 1991. A memorial service was held Dec. 30 at the First Presbyterian Church of Hilton Head.

George was born Nov. 12, 1910, in Katonah, N.Y., and lived in Scarsdale while attending Princeton, and for many years thereafter. He prepared at Hotchkiss. In college he was a member of Key and Seat.

After college George became a C.P.A. with Arthur Andersen, with whom he remained until his retirement as a partner in 1971. He was active in community affairs in Scarsdale and later in Greenwich, Conn. On Oct. 1, 1938, George married Elizabeth Kingsbury, in Xenia, Ohio. They had three children, Robert K. '63, Douglas M. '65, and Georgia B. Barnhill. Elizabeth died in 1983, and George later married Diane Donovan, who attended a number of Florida reunions with George. He is also survived by two sisters, Emily Feney and Harriet Bonney; four grandchildren; and three stepgrandchildren.

To Diane and to all the family, the Class of '33 expresses its deep sympathy.
