Body

GIL SMITH died Jan. 25, 1993, in Pasadena, his life-long hometown. He joined the class from South Pasadena H.S but left after his sophomore year to marry Joan Corbin, transferring to the Univ. of Virginia, where he received a bachelor's in mechanical engineering in June of 1950. He graduated from Stanford Law School in January of 1953, and his third child was born while he was taking the California bar exam. He practiced law in Pasadena until the time of his death. The love of camping and sports, was shared by the whole family, and he maintained a vacation home in Sandyland Cove, Carpinteria.
