GORDON BAKER died June 16, 1991, at Brightview of Avon, Conn. He had lived at Simsbury, Conn., for the past 15 years. A memorial service was held June 19 at Old St. Andrew's Church, Bloomfield.

Gordon was born Sept. 14, 1911, in Chicago. He later lived in Reading, Penn. He prepared at Wyomissing. In college he was on the TIGER, was a member of Court Club, and roomed with Henry Beerits and with R. F. Burnett.

After college Gordon joined Carpenter Steel, as a salesman in Detroit, and remained with them until 1947. After selling steel in Chicago for some years, he entered the brokerage business with Bache in Newark, NJ. ' and then in Connecticut. He was active in community affairs.

On Aug. 29, 1936, Gordon married Jane E. Bowman, in Reading. They had two children, Gordon Jr., deceased, and Nancy Ellis. He later married Margaret Kasper, who survives him,
