Graham G. Berry Sr. ’35

Body

GRAHAM G. "GRAY" BERRY SR. DIED Apr. 26, 1993. He had been in ill health for a number of years and succumbed to a massive stroke. Gray prepared for Princeton at Kent School.

Gray spent many years in the advertising field, as a lead writer and account director, several times winning honors. Gray served six years in the army, as an artillery officer at three posts in Virginia and seven other assorted locations. He separated from active duty in 1945, remaining a major with the Natl. Guard until shortly before the Korean War.

Gray married Cynthia Bastine in 1943. Their only surviving child, Graham "Pete" '66, was born in 1944. Cyndy predeceased him in 1991, just shy of their 50th anniversary. They shared an avid interest in amateur radio, in gardening, in travel, and in genealogy. In addition to Pete, Gray and Cyndy are survived by two grandsons, Matthew and Daniel, and several nieces and nephews.

Gray maintained his love of the church, and his service through it as an active lay person, throughout his life. He enjoyed life and remained as active as his health permitted until the end. The class extends sincere sympathy to his family.
