Grellet Collins ’45

BRUD COLLINS died Nov. 15, 1991, of heart failure, towhich a longterm diabetic condition contributed.

Brud entered Princeton from Scarsdale (NY.) High School, the son of Grellet Collins '14 and brother of William Collins '48, His career at Princeton was impressive, with involvement in track and cross country, 150-pound football, WhigClio, and the engineering society. He was a member of Colonial Club.

After graduation from Princeton, in 1944, with a degree in chemical engineering, Brud joined the American Cyanamid Company in Bound Brook, NJ. Cyanamid took him to West Virginia and Ohio, where he bought a 100acre farm and devoted seven years to modernizing the farmhouse and raising beef cattle. In 1954 he established his own business in Maryland and then New Jersey, with various operations in the chemical industry. His final business venture began in 1976, when he became a manufacturer's representative selling chemical process equipment in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. In 1986 Brud retired to indulge his addiction to fishing and sailing on Long Island Sound, from his long established home base in Chappaqua, Westchester County, N.Y.

Brud married the former Margaret Foot, of Scarsdale, in 1946, and she survives him together with their daughter Wendy. The Class expresses its deep sympathy to the family.
