Hans A. Bluntschli ’17
HANS BLUNTSCHLI died Apr. 12, 1992. He was stricken at a dinnerwhich was a tribute to himat the clubhouse in Masons island, Conn. Hans was born Sept. 1, 1896, in Paterson, NJ. He entered Princeton from Lawrenceville. During WWI he served with the American Field Service as an ambulance driver and later joined the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Following the war he was in the textile business in Paterson for several years, but in 1926 he switched to securities brokerage in Paterson, until his retirement in 1961. His last 20 years were with Eastman Dillon, Union Securities & Co. He was Sir ccessful in the security field and continued his informal association with it throughout his life. He served as an officer or director of many local civic and charitable organizations, including New Jersey Bank and Trust Co., Passaic County Tuberculosis Assn., Red Cross, Paterson General Hospital, and Cedar Lawn Cemetery. After retirement he spent his summers at Franklin Lakes, NJ., and winters at Sea Island, Ga , and enjoyed traveling to see members of his family in this country and abroad. He is survived by a stepdaughter, Patricia Driggs Kelsey, and stepson, Dixon W. Driggs, seven grandchildren, eight greatgrandchildren, and one greatgreatgrandchild.
