HAL DIED at the St. Petersburg Hospital Oct. 21, 1994. He had lived in Florida since 1962 when he sold his insurance business in Irwin, Pa. He was a vigorous entrepreneur: he owned Tom Thumb golf courses and laundries, and sold real-estate and insurance. He served as president of the Irwin Chamber of Commerce and of the board of Realtors there. He came to Princeton from the Hill School. He was a member of Campus Club and roomed in Brown for four years with James Koontz.

He is survived by a son Harry H., a retired lt. col.; a grandson, who is a naval officer; a daughter; and grandchildren. The class extends its sympathy to his survivors.
