Harry W. Masenhimer Jr. ’49   Harry died March 29, 2011, in Portland, Ore., having lived in the state for many years.

At Princeton, he was a member of Key and Seal and roomed at 72 Holder. He attended Johns Hopkins Medical School, graduating in 1953. Four years later, Harry married Gladys May and did his residency at the University of Oregon Medical Hospital. He went into private practice there and also provided inpatient care for 13 years at the VA Hospital in Roseburg, Ore.

After retiring in 1987, Harry and Gladys moved to Pendleton, Ore., where he provided outpatient health care at the Yellowhawk Tribal Health Center. In our 50th reunion book, Harry said, “I had the good fortune and much satisfaction from my life in medicine. ... My activities and interests center on my family and my marriage of 40 years.”

He is survived by his three sons, Blair, Brent, and Mark. We applaud his dedication to a life of service to others, and we offer our condolences to his entire family.
