HARRY MAYER died Mar. 17, 1991. Although born in Jamestown, R.I., fie was for almost all of his life a resident of Haverford, Penn. Harry entered Princeton from Episcopal. At Princeton Harry was a member of Cottage Club and played varsity soccer and lacrosse. His war service was with the Navy, in the Atlantic Theater, as a radar and communications officer.

After graduation he became employed with R.C.A., in research and development, but shortly thereafter became an investment broker. He was V.P. for Woodcock Moyer, Fricke & French and later W.H. Newbold's Sons & Co./Hopper Soliday & Co., Inc. Harry contributed valuable service to the Church Farm School in Exton, Penn., as a member of its board.

He had a broad range of interests, including tennis and squash, and was an accomplished figure skater, His biggest interest was in sailing. He was a member of the Corinthian Yacht Club in Essington, Penn., and founded a sailing group within the Union League Club of Philadelphia.

Harry is survived by his widow, Emily Dorrance Mayer; by daughters Emily Kendrick, Anne Cheezen, and Sallie Hendrick; by son Douglas; by six grandchildren; and by his sister Anne Mayer Zug; to all of whom the Class expresses sympathy.
