Body

HANK DIED Mar. 28, 1993, in Hanover, N.H., after a long illness. He retired to Vermont in 1969 and had been a volunteer at the Ottauquechee Health Center in Woodstock for many years.

Hank attended both the Pomfret and Hun schools and came to Princeton as a member of the Class of 1942, but from 1941 through 1990 was listed as a member of 1941. Upon graduation, he served in the U.S. Army, during WWII, with the O.S.S. as an undercover agent in France, a result of his having spent much of his childhood there. He was discharged in 1945 as a first lieutenant and received the European Service Medal with two bronze stars and the Croix de Guerre with silver star. He also worked for the C.I.A. as a covert agent in France after the war.

When he returned to the U.S., he was V.P. in charge of sales for Colt's Manufacturing Co. Later he was business manager for the Oxford School in West Hartford, Conn.

To his widow, Mary; his daughters Alice, Mary, and Laura; his son Dr. Henry 111; and his three grandchildren and three stepgrandchildren; the Class extends its most sincere sympathies.
