Henry Piper Andrews Jr. ’70

PIPER ANDREWS DIED QUIETLY in Mount Sinai Medical Center in Manhattan earlier this year, after a prolonged a valiant battle with cancer.

His entry in our 20th reunion gives evidence of his acceptance of his fate, when he wrote, "With one hand life gave me almost everything I wanted in terms of my family and how I live, but with the other hand gave poor health. On the whole, though, it's been great."

Piper joined our Class from Cincinnati Country Day, proudly following his father, a member of the Class of 1927. As an undergraduate, he majored in history and was a member of Colonial Club. Following graduation, he attended Harvard Business School, which led to the real estate investment side of Citibank, and later he became V.P. of Citicorp in Manhattan.

The Class extends its sympathy to his wife, Lynn, and his two daughters, Lindsey and Alexandra. To them we extend our sincere sympathy.
