HERB MARKS DILI) Dec. 26, 1993, at Vero Beach, Fla., where he had lived for many years. A memorial service was held at the First Presbyterian Church.

Herb was born July 10, 1911, in Wheeling, WVa. He later lived in Sewickley, Penn. He prepared at Shady Side Academy. In college, he roomed with Bob Arrott, and was a member of Terrace.

After college, Herb joined the Mellon Bank in Pittsburgh. He remained with them oil til his retirement, 40 years later, as a v.p. of the trust department. He lived in Sewickley, and was active in community affairs.

During WWII, Herb served in the navy as a lieutenant.

On Sept. 9, 1939, Herb married Laura Davis. She died some years ago, as did his second wife, Dibby. In 1986, he married Dory, who survives. She has many friends in the class. He is also survived by a son, Herbert 111; by two daughters, Mary Fleming and Alice Tierman; by a stepson, Michael Baker; by a stepdaughter, Betsy Gallimore; and by two brothers, James '35 and Lewis '37.

To Dory and to all the family, the class expresses its deep sympathy.
