HUGH "RED" RICHARDSON DIED Apr. 15, 1994, of heart failure. Hugh was a member of our southern contingent and, except for his school years and military service during WWII, he lived and worked in Atlanta. After graduating with an engineering degree, Hugh worked for a large construction company until 1930, when he joined Richardson Realty, a company that his father founded in 1886. Red worked there until 1990, when he retired as president. His son, Hugh Jr. '53, succeeded him as president.

At Princeton, he was a member of Colonial Club and the Right Wing Club. He went to many reunions, culminating with the 65th, which he attended with his son.

Hugh was very active in the Atlanta business and social community and was a board member of the Atlanta Woolen Mills and the Fulton Natl. Bank. Hugh was president of the Central Atlanta Assn. and a member of the Piedmont Driving Club. Red and his daughter Jolie, who predeceased him, owned, raised, and exhibited championship show horses. He was nominated to be a regional alumni trustee candidate in 1959 and was a past president of the Princeton Club of Georgia. He served in WWII in the Army Corps of Engineers. Hugh is survived by his daughter, Francis R. Franklin; his son; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Francis, his wife of 68 years, died June 1, 1994.
