Irv came from the McDonogh School to the class and majored in sociology. He joined Colonial Club, was on The Daily Princetonian as promotions manager, enjoyed club football, pingpong, and softball, and roomed with John Davis and Hugh Kitchener his senior year.

Irv went on to follow a life of volunteering in education, especially with children in special education at the Chatsworth School, and he received the President’s Volunteer Service Award. With his wife, Nanette, he pursued travel and collected American antiques and fine art. As he reported in The Book of Our History, he also acted as an agent for other artists.

Irv died Sept. 23, 2022. He is survived by Nanette and their children, Andy, Loren, and Leigh. The class sends them good wishes, with appreciation of Irv’s productive life.
