Irvine E. Moffatt ’35
IRV MOFFATT and his widow, Doris, were faithful attendees of many reunions and class gatherings. Irv died in Brooksville, Fla., Mar. 20, 1993, after a marriage of over 50 years. Besides Doris, he leaves sons Gordon and Loren, daughters Cynthia and Marjorie, and four grandchildren.
Coming to Princeton from Montclair and Veron N.J., Irv graduated with a major in economics. He roomed with Eldon Earle. After graduation, Irv studied accounting and started work with Crucible Steel in Harrison, N.J., which later became a subsidiary of Colt Industries. He retired as C.F.O. in 1978, after 35 years of service. He and Doris then moved from Montclair to Florida, where they enjoyed eight years of retirement living.
Irv was active in many community causes: the West Hudson Chamber of Commerce, the Harrison Rotary Club, the American Lung Assn., the Baden-Powell Boy Scout troop in Montclair, and the First Congregational Church in Montclair. 35
The class mourns Irv's death and sends its deepest sympathy to Doris and the family.
