J. Noyes Crary ’31

NOYES PASSED AWAY Oct. 4, 1992. in Bloomfield, Conn. He prepared at St. Paul's School, Concord, N.H., and while at Princeton was a member of Ivy Club. He roomed all four years with W. W Fleming. Except for the war years, when lie served with the State Defense Council and as a field director for the American Red Cross, he spent his entire career with the Connecticut General Life Insurance Company, in Hartford, for which he was an officer at the time lie retired, in 197 1. Noyes served as V.P. of our Class, and was our "man of the year" in 1980. He was also a member of Princeton's Alumni Council and the committee to nominate alumni trustees. He was a trustee for the Hartford Grammar School Foundation, served on the advisory board of the Goodspeed Opera House, and was former director of tile Institute of Living, the Roaring Brook Nature Center, Stowe Day Foundation, and Hartford Dispensary, Besides his widow, Mary, he is survived by a son Joseph, daughter Margaret, and granddaughter Margot. The Class sends its deepest sympathy to his family.
