"Bim" died Dec. 24, 1994, after a lengthy illness at his home in Biddeford Pool, Maine. He prepared at St. Paul's.

After graduation, he served in the Army Intelligence Corps from 1941-44. He joined the St. Louis Globe-Democrat in 1947 as an administrative executive, and became president of the newspaper in 1950. He held that position until 1955, when the paper was sold. He was also assistant to the publisher and v.p. of the St. Louis Magazine, Inc,

He purchased the Hamden Chronicle in Hamden, Conn., and two other weekly newspapers in New Haven, Conn., in 1956, and left St. Louis to manage them. He moved to Biddeford Pool about ten years ago. After purchasing the Chronicle, he worked for the Yale Univ. News Bureau.

While at Princeton, he roomed with Al Fuller, Jim Hundley, Crawford Madeira, and Ralph Yardley, all in the Class of '40, and John Davies, Hugh Lewis, Bill Lippincott, Brooks Wall, and George Young in our class. Elzey G. Jr. '48 is his brother. Other survivors include his widow, Barbara; two daughters, Barbara Borders and Nancy B. Williams; a sister, Lois B, Tupper; and two grandchildren.

Among his many fine qualities, his wonderful sense of humor stands out. He will be missed by many.
