James Ralph De Rocco ’60
JIM DE ROCCO was born Aug. 24, 1937, in Bethlehem, Penn., and died Apr. 2, 1991, He was 53 years old. For the past fifteen years, Jim was a selfemployed real estate broker in San Francisco. He was the son of Ralph and Bettylu Ford De Rocco. He attended Liberty High School in Bethlehem, Penn., where he was class V.P. and a member of the swimming team. At Princeton he majored in European history and wrote a thesis entitled "T. H. Green and His Oxford Disciples," He was a member of Dial Lodge, the Glee Club, Chapel Choir, French club, and the yacht club, rooming with Dick Weed his senior year.
Following graduation, Jim received his M.A. from the Univ. of Pennsylvania in 1963. He was a language and history instructor at UPenn for three years, and he also taught at William and Mary College, Rutgers Univ., Temple Univ., Montclair State College, the Univ. of Lausanne in Switzerland, and Wilbraham Academy in Massachusetts, before entering the real estate business in California.
Jim is survived by his parents and one brother, Thomas, to whom the Class of 1960 extends its condolences.
