Jason M. Richardson ’75

Body

JASON RICHARDSON died in New York on May 11, 1991, of complications related to AIDS.

A native of Illinois, Jason majored in English and was a member of Cap and Gown. After graduation, lie worked with Chemical Bank in New York, before pursuing an M.B.A. at Stanford, where part of his studies enabled him to indulge his love of travel, this time to the Pacific rim. After Stanford he joined Bain and Cornpany, in Boston, and later formed a partnership operating a hotel on St. Maarten.

A diving accident, in July 1985, smashed two of Jason's cervical vertebrae and left him totally paralyzed. Miraculously, he eventually recovered 93 percent of his capacities. During his last years, he lived in New York, working with Morgan Stanley.

Among other things, Jason will be remembered for his quick "Jasoman" wit, lively sense of humor, and his rare ability to make those around him feel instantly at honie. Throughout his physical ordeals, he displayed remarkable courage.

To Jason's parents, Karl and Mary Lou Richardson, and his sisters and brother, the Class extends deepest sympathy. He will be sorely missed.
