John Alden Croll ’43

Body

JOHN DIED suddenly on Jan. 6, 1990 in Lenox Hill Hospital at the age of 68.

Born in Palmerton, Penn., John had been a resident of Milwaukee and Pittsburgh before making his permanent home in Princeton. He was a retired architect who worked in both New York and Princeton.

Following graduation from the University School of Milwaukee in 1939 and Princeton in 1943, John was awarded his bachelor's degree in architecture from Carnegie-Mellon in 1950.

During WWII he served in the U.S. Navy as a lieutenant (j.g.), with active duty in the Pacific Theater aboard a battleship and LST.

He was a dedicated world traveler and gifted amateur photographer. While on campus, he was a member of Court Club.

Surviving John are several first cousins, an aunt, and an uncle. To all of them, we offer our most sincere sympathies.
