The class lost a true and devoted supporter when “The Hacker” died Feb. 3, 2012. Jack was our class secretary for 27 years, during which time he did a remarkable job of keeping us informed and did it with admirable style.

Jack prepared for Princeton at Polytechnic Country Day School in Brooklyn. He later served in Australia in World War II as a pharmacist’s mate.

His professional career involved radio and TV sports broadcasting in many locations across the country. He published nine novels during his lifetime. Jack was an extraordinary bridge player and served four terms as president of the Hartford (Conn.) Host Lions Club. Some of his fondest times were attending class reunions with his wife, Jo; the annual Princeton–Yale game; and tailgating. He will be sorely missed.
