John D. Van Itallie ’51

Body

We have only recently learned that John died Nov. 8, 2004.

He was born May 9, 1926, prepared at Deerfield, and came to Princeton after several years in the service. He left the University in the second semester of our freshman year; since then we have not heard directly from him. Some time ago Harry Koch ’51 reported that John had been active in the international diamond business, after which he owned an art gallery in Scottsdale, Ariz.

John’s wife, Ingeborg, predeceased him. He is survived by his son, Erik, of Chandler, Ariz.
