JOHN "RED JACK" WEIDLEIN died Dec. 8, 1992, in Pittsburgh, after suffering declining health resulting from cancer.

John grew up in Pittsburgh, where he attended Shady Side Academy. He later attended the Fay School and Andover and served two years in the Navy, before entering Princeton in the fall of 1946. Originally a member of '48, he transferred to '50 eight years ago.

At Princeton, he quickly established himself as one of the most friendly and popular individuals on campus. He joined Cap and Gown Club, where he was elected president. He also served as president of the 21 Club and was a member of the Right Wing Club.

After graduation, he started work with the Pittsburgh Plate Glass Co. (now PPG. Industries). He spent his whole career with PRG., retiring as marketing manager for national accounts of the fiber glass division ' In Pittsburgh he served on the board of the Eye and Ear Hospital and was a member of Rolling Rock Club of Ligonier, Pittsburgh Golf Club, and the Duquesne Club. A memorial service was held at Calvary Episcopal Church, where he had been a lifelong member.

He is survived by his widow, Jean: daughters Carlin McCoy and M. Clarke; three stepchildren, Davis Burroughs III, Jean Jordan, and Peter Burroughs; three step-grandchildren; and two brothers, Edward '40 and Robert '42. To all of them, the Class extends its deepest sympathy for the loss of our good friend.
