John H. Cook ’42

Body

JOHN DIED Oct. 11, 1994, in Prescott, Ariz. He had devoted most of his life to raising, showing, and selling purebred dogs: Lhasa Apsos, Dachshunds, and Rhodesian Ridgebacks. He was a judge, doing 2½ groups of A.K.C. classification. He judged all hounds, all non-sporting, and part of the toy group. He covered shows on five continents, as well as the majors all over the U.S. He served as president of the Trenton Kennel Club and was intimately associated with the Dachshund Club of America, as a board member almost continuously since 1948. He was also secretary and president for ten years.

John joined the class from the Hill School and was a modern languages major.

To his widow, Margaret; his four sons; and his two grandchildren, the class extends its deepest sympathies.
