John J. Campagna ’35

JOHN CAMPAGNA DIED May 29, 1993. He was born June 28, 1913, and came to Princeton from Riverdale School in New York, where he was president of the student council. At Princeton, he majored in modern languages with and was a member of Cannon Club. He roomed with Neidlinger, Neu, Reilley, and Riley.

Johnny married Susan Winslow in 1937 and they first lived in Pelham, N.Y. They had three children, John J. Jr., David W. '63, and Jeramy. There were four grandchildren at last reports. John spent his business career with Campagna Construction Corp, and he and his brother Joseph A. '32 (dec.) did major residential construction in Stamford, East Hartford, and N.Y.C. The firm's last project was a portion of Lincoln Center. They also made barracks and barges during WWII in the Pacific theater.

Johnny and Susie retired to Boca Raton, Fla., from which point they traveled, golfed, and skied. The class sends belated bur sincere sympathy to Susie and the family.
