Body

Jack came to Princeton from Brookfield, Wis. There he found early success as an interior offensive lineman, playing on the 1979 state champion Catholic Memorial High School football team. At Princeton, he was a four-year starter on the football team. He majored in politics and joined Tiger Inn. His close friends included Steve Heussner, Steve Reed, Brian McDonald, Tim Stark ’86, Stephan Voss, Glenn Tilley, and John Pauly.

Everyone who knew Jack will remember his willingness to lend a hand, his sense of humor, and his love for his family. Jack greatly enjoyed coaching his son Jackie’s Little League football team.

Jack is survived by Kimberly, his wife of 20 years; his children, Alex, Jackie, and Flynn; his mother, Donna DeWalt; his five siblings, and the extended family. Jack was predeceased by his father, Jack DeWalt Sr., and his father-in-law, Jim Fletcher. To Jack’s family and friends, the class extends its sympathy.
