John M. Currie ’22

THE CLASS reports that the Rev. John M, Currie died in Santa Fe, N.M,, June 6, 1991. Rev. Currie moved to Santa Fe 20 years ago, after his retirement from Lafayette College where he had served as chaplain and teacher. Previously he was pastor of Beck Memorial Presbyterian Church, Bronx, N.Y., and before that was a missionary at the American Univ. in Cairo.

Rev. Currie was born in Lyndon, N.Y., and attended Yale Divinity School after Princeton. His widow , Edna, and a daughter, Mary, survive him. Unfortunately, Rev. Currie was predeceased by his son, John Jr. His body was willed to the Univ. of New Mexico School of Medicine for use in the advancement of medical research.
