RICH DIED June 29, 1991. He prepared for college at Silver Bay School. At Princeton he played freshman lacrosse and was in Key & Seal Club. He left Princeton in Mar. 1928 and started in advertising and publicity work. in 1941 he went into business as a manufacturer's representative, selling many types of electrical insulating materials. He took an electrical engineering course at Pratt Institute. In 1958 his family moved into a Pennsylvania Dutch stone farmhouse in Glen Gardner, N.J., and Rich began indulging his hobby of raising and judging Toggenburg dairy goats. He was active in the Plainfield Recreation Commission, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and the Plainfield Community Chest. Singing was a continuing interest, and he was a choir soloist in the St. Stephen's Episcopal Church. In 1939 Rich married Lucy L. Baker, and she survives, together with their three children, John M. Jr., Lois Strauss, and George '69. The Class extends sincere sympathy to Rich's family.
