John Warren Kaine ’31

Body

John Kaine died on Jan. 28, 1989. He was one of the group that prepared at Exeter for admission to Princeton. Although he did not stay the full course with us, he stayed in contact with news of his activities. He established his home in his early post-Princeton years in Miami Beach. Later, he moved to Chicago to handle sales for the Southern Coal Co. After he retired from Southern Coal in 1963, he moved to Aiken, S.C.

John established another link to Princeton when he married Elinor Graham, sister of Charles R. Graham ’38. In addition to his widow, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Angel Penna, and a son, Lawrence. To them we express our sympathy. Our sense of loss is not lessened by the shortness of the time we shared with John in college.
