Dennis died Oct. 16, 2024, of cancer.

He graduated from the Delbarton School, in Morristown, N.J., where he was football captain and senior class vice president. He entered Princeton with the Class of 1964, left for two years, then joined our class. He belonged to Cap and Gown, majored in chemistry, and played freshman and junior varsity football.

After graduation, Dennis earned a doctorate in chemistry from the University of Chicago and later a master’s degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Wisconsin. He spent most of his career in engineering roles at Teradata and at NCR, following its acquisition of Teradata. He and his wife, Janis, resided in San Diego at the time of his death.

Dennis is survived by Janis; sons Richard and John; daughters Sheri and Michelle; several grandchildren; and brother Darryl ’65, to all of whom the class extends its condolences.
