Justice Lockwood ’29

Body

JUSTICE DIED May 7, 1993. He prepared for college at the Nichols School. At Princeton, he was on the hockey team and roomed with Bill Miller sophomore year. After Princeton, he joined Anaconda American Brass Co., working with them in Toronto, Detroit, and Buffalo, and finally becoming executive V.P. at their headquarters in Waterbury, Conn. He did quite a lot of traveling, especially to plants in Canada, Mexico, and Brazil. He was active in community activities, including Community Fund and the Chamber of Commerce; was on the boards of several banks; and president of the Waterbury Country Club. He retired to Dunedin, Fla., in 1969, but continued to enjoy golf, travel, and cruising. He married Vera Hobby, but she died in 1938. In 1945, he married Mildred Tipp, and she survives, together with his son Richard and his daughter Nancy L. Hall. The class extends sincere sympathy to justice's family.
