Kevin Kennedy ’47
KEVIN DIED of a heart attack while working in the garden of his home in Vineyard Haven, Mass., on Apr. 23, 1992, one month before his 68th birthday.
Kevin was a longtime resident of Princeton and Martha's Vineyard. He was born in Buffalo and graduated from the Hill School in Pottstown, Penn., in 1943 After service with the Navy in the South Pacific, as a lieutenant (j.g), during WWII, he continued his education at Princeton, majoring in politics, and received his A.B. degree in 1948.
Over the next 21 years, Kevin was an executive at four different advertising agencies, focusing primarily on consumer packaged goods. He then started his own firm, which provided consulting services to various wellknown consumer goods companies and to Arthur D. Little Co. in Cambridge.
In our 40th YEAR BOOK, he wrote: "I can truthfully state that the most important thrust of my life, the thing that has brought me the most enjoyment and by far the most important venture, has been the partnership with my wife in raising our four sons and now the thrill of watching their families take form."
Kevin is survived by his widow, Clara, who lives at their home on the Vineyard, his sons Kevin, Charles, Alexander, and Shaun, and four grandchildren. To all of them we extend our deepest sympathy.
