Larry died Dec. 16, 2017, in Briarcliff Manor, N.Y. He was 83.

Larry matriculated from Horace Mann School in New York. At Princeton he roomed with fellow classmates Dick Kluger and Jim Freund and later with Andy Flaxman. Larry loved sports and played on the freshman basketball team. He never forgot his birthplace in Brooklyn nor his beloved Dodgers. At Princeton he developed his voracious tastes for reading and music.

After two years in the Navy, Larry went to Yale Law School, served as note editor on the Yale Law Review, and graduated in 1961. He lectured at Yale and at the Practicing Law Institute periodically while pursuing a 51-year career in the law.

In 1971 Larry became a founding member of Shereff, Friedman, Hoffman & Goodman, a New York law firm. In 2005, he joined Eisner, an accounting firm, as in-house counsel. After his retirement, he continued to work as a volunteer at Blythedale Children’s Hospital and as a pro bono lawyer for the Youth Shelter of Westchester.

Larry is survived by his childhood sweetheart and wife of 61 years, Myrna; daughters Jolie and Jenny; son-in-law Doug; and grandson Jude. Larry had a wicked sense of humor, an appreciation for the irony of life, and a loyalty to his friends that will be missed.
