Lawrence Perin ’28
LARRY PERIN DIED at home Apr. 15, 1994, after a long bout with cancer. He went to Gilman School and at Princeton was a member of Colonial Club. He graduated from Harvard Law School in 1931 and in 1932 joined the law firm Semmes, Bowen & Semmes, from which he retired in 1977 as a senior partner.
Larry's law career was interrupted by service in WWII, as a captain in the field artillery. He was attached to an amphibious force as a shore fire control officer. He saw action in Guam, Leyte, and Okinawa and received the Bronze Star.
Larry was a fellow of the American College of Probate Counsel. He belonged to the Elkridge Club, where he won the club golf championship. He was a member of the Society of Colonial Wars and was active in the Episcopal Church.
Larry married Margaret Vogel Aug. 9, 1951. He survived by her, and by a son, Oliver. They had lived since 1963 on N. Calvert St., two blocks from the house in which he was born. He was active in downtown renaissance of his native city.
Larry attended the 50th reunion of the Class of 1928. He was respected as an outstanding lawyer and will be missed by his many Princeton friends. The sincere sympathy of the members of the class is with Margaret.
