Lester Markham Conway ’45

Lester Conway died April 12, 2006.  

He entered Princeton from Sewickley (Pa.) High School, and through acceleration, received a degree in chemistry in 1944. He then served with the 90th Infantry Division, seeing combat in Germany. He received a law degree from the University of Virginia in 1949 and joined the Travelers Insurance Co. in its Richmond, Va., office.  

Lester married Elizabeth Calhoun and they moved to Texas and then to the Hartford, Conn., area. At the time of his death he had moved back to Texas, where his daughter, Graeme Law, resides. Lester is also survived by another daughter, Candace Conway Fleming ’76. The class expresses its sympathy to them.
