Lewis V. "Buck" Irvine died Feb. 2, 1995, in Gaithersburg, Md. He was born in Butler, Penn., Apr. 17, 1903, the son of V. K. Irvine 1895. He prepared at Mercersburg. At Princeton, he roomed with Frank Adams and Bob Thompson.

He spent his career in the insurance, first with Aetna Life in Chicago, then with Travelers Co. in Hartford , Conn. He was a member of the Hartford Golf Club. He spent his retirement years in Hartford, before going to a retirement home in Gaithersburg. He married Irene Fay in 1932; she predeceased him. They had two sons and five grandchildren.
