Louis Peter Buglioli ’48

Lou came to us via Commerce High School in New York. At Princeton he was a member of Key and Seal and graduated with honors in economics. He was awarded varsity letters in football, basketball, and track and served as undergraduate treasurer of our class.

After earning an M.B.A. at New York University, Lou’s entire career was in banking. He was a group vice president of Chase Manhattan Bank for 33 years until his retirement in 1979. Concurrently he was active in Princeton alumni affairs, especially Alumni Giving, where he served a term as chairmanfor our class. He was active on the tennis courts until his knee replacement in 1992.

Lou is survived by Phyllis, his wife of 62 years; his daughter, Barbara; son Louis Jr.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Lou’s loyalty to Princeton was lifelong.
